Nope, the horse in the image isn't my OC and equisona Aura, regardless of the title and the horse being a grullo one! I found this gorgeous photo of a grullo Rocky Mountain Horse from ~venomxbaby's gallery and decided to paint it (and it seems that her stock has become my favourite indeed haha!). The title and the background were inspired by the nature this time of the year. One thing I like to do when feeling anxious and sad is taking a trip to a forest and wander amongst the trees and listen to the voices of nature. That never fails to make me feel instantly better and more peaceful. Therefore I think that nature can in its own way help me to heal from the stress that comes from the man's world and the society. So this painting is dedicated for the Mother Nature herself!
I hope you like this piece, and thanks for taking a look!
Here's digital colouring tutorial I made using this painting!
I agree with *feverpaint on a grass tutorial this is amazing, so real... I love how inquisitive it's face looks, like it's smelled something interesting
Oh gosh believe it or not but I still don't know how I do it each time either! My grass is just a mess of shitloads of different brushes (mostly these [link] and by all gods I swear you won't find better brush pack than that!) and it usually takes me at least two tries to make it look at least somewhat okay..
Oh man quit being so awesome. The amount of detail is so amazing and I can't comprehend how you do it... And then on top of it, it looks so smooth and painterly. Your artwork is awe inspiringly gorgeous. And I completely agree with what you said about nature!
Um, I'm pretty sure your pony just walked out of my computer onto my desk. You painted him too real and I should ask not to do it again or else my house will be full of tiny ponies and it will just be too much to take care of...but can I keep this one? Just kidding-but I'm not kidding about how realistic this looks, it's mind boggling and so beautiful. You put so much detail and work into your pieces, I enjoy every one of them. And thanks for posting the walk through! It's awesome to see how you make these amazing pieces.
